Myriam is a partner in litigation boutique Naymark LLP, which she joined after practising in the litigation departments of Torys LLP and McMillan LLP and in an international disputes boutique.
She has been appointed as arbitrator by the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce, and serves as party-appointed arbitrator in several cases under various institutional rules. She has experience as counsel in cases under all major institutional arbitration rules.
Her cases have spanned a broad range of sectors and regions. She has particular experience with the mining, energy (electricity, renewables, oil & gas), transportation and agricultural sectors, ...more and with projects in Latin America.
Myriam is ranked Band 2 by Chambers Global in the Dispute Resolution: Arbitration Category, “Consistently Recommended” for Commercial Arbitration by Lexpert, and “Recommended” for Arbitration by Lexology Index.
She is admitted to practise law in Ontario and British Columbia. Toronto is her home, but she spent her formative years in Montreal and also enjoys working from Vancouver whenever she can — and from wherever else in the world her cases take her. She works in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian, and has conducted hearings, including cross-examining witnesses, in English, French and Spanish.
She is the immediate past Chair of the ICC Canada Arbitration Committee, which brings together nearly 200 Canadian arbitration practitioners based around the world, and serves as Canada's liaison with the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce.
