David McCutcheon has over 35 years of experience acting as an arbitrator and mediator. His practice is focused on commercial disputes including real estate, construction, environmental, corporate and shareholder matters. He has been a two term President of the ADR Institute of Ontario and a two term President of ADR Institute of Canada. Apart from being a Resident Arbitrator, he has a continuing counsel practice with Dentons Canada LLP in commercial arbitration, litigation, and environmental law.

He is a current director of the ADR Institute of Canada and serves as one of Canada’s representatives on the NAFTA 2022 Committee.
David is an experienced litigation and arbitration counsel who has appeared in trial and appeal courts and in administrative tribunals throughout his career. His ADR practice as counsel and neutral is primarily focussed on commercial disputes including real estate, construction, environmental, corporate and shareholder matters.
Throughout his career, most recently as a partner at global law firm Dentons LLP, David has received national and international recognition as a preeminent practitioner in the areas of litigation and arbitration. In particular, David is recognized in Chambers Global: The Guide to the World's Leading Lawyers for Business, and Euromoney’s Experts in Commercial Arbitration.
