With most arbitral decisions being private, there is a lack of precedent to build on which makes education about arbitration even more important. Arbitration Place is dedicated to being not just a hearing facility but a learning centre. As part of that, we are committed to being proactive about keeping the community abreast of important arbitration developments in Canada and around the world.
We hold regular programs on topical issues relevant to arbitration and litigation, as well as sessions aimed at helping arbitration counsel hone the skills they need to be successful in alternative dispute resolution. We provide sample arbitration clauses that can safely be plugged into agreements, and post questions and answers that lawyers and their clients may have about how arbitration works.
Students are our future, so we are also active in the student community, hosting the regional rounds of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot every year before the moots in Vienna and Hong Kong.
If you have any questions about arbitration, please contact Kimberley Stewart at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be glad to help.
