Every lawyer is a loser – at some point in their career. It is an inevitable part of our adversarial legal system, and though it can be unpredictable, every loss is an opportunity to learn and improve one’s skills as an advocate.
Arbitration Place invites you to focus on the bright side of losing for an evening. Join three highly-respected litigators as they share stories of their most instructive losses, and the valuable lessons learned from those cases.

Arbitration Place is excited to be a supporting organisation at the HK2015 Summit, put on by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and the International Council for Commercial Arbitration. The summit will take place on May 12-14, 2015, and will feature esteemed speakers from all around the world discussing the latest trends in international arbitration.
The ‘Hearing Centres Survey’ collected responses from 106 leading international arbitration lawyers, who answered 15 questions on a range of subjects. Arbitration Place was ranked 2nd in North America and 8th internationally when arbitrators were asked about the hearing centre they would most likely recommend to a friend. In North America, Arbitration Place was only behind the World Bank in Washington for top honours.
Despite the impressive ranking, Global Arbitration Review notes that Arbitration Place was still too new to have featured highly – a promising statement as we look to the year ahead.
